Connecting Ellensburg and Vantage Washington and just a few minutes away from the buzzing traffic of Interstate 90 lies the Vantage Highway.  Home to the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park and the Wild Horse Wind & Solar Facility.  After shooting the 36 Hour straight Spokane WA to Sandpoint Idaho relay race I decided to spend a couple extra days on the east side of the Cascade Mountains in Central and Eastern Washington.  As I made my way west back to Bellingham I was treated to this wonderful late summer sunrise and rainbow along the Vantage Highway.

Foggy winter evening in Lawrence Ma

Whenever I travel home to the Merrimack Valley I make it a point to spent some time in the wonderful and historic "Mill Cities" that line the Merrimack River.  My most recent trip in January was a foggy evening wondering the quiet streets and mill complexes in Lawrence Massachusetts.  Here are a few of those images

Vibrant colors abound!  Armed with a recent trip report from a friend and the threat of a storm closing in I made a last minute overnight trip up to Artist Point in the North Cascade Mountains. Its a good thing I did cause they closed the road for the winter shortly after do to snowfall.
